DEQ Requests Comments on Lincoln City’s Proposed Additional Cleanup Actions for the Schooner Creek Discovery Park Soccer Field Site

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality invites the public to submit written comments on the draft engineering design report prepared for the City of Lincoln City’s additional cleanup action to address residual petroleum contamination at the former Taft Elementary School site. The city is redeveloping the former school property into Schooner Creek Discovery Park and soccer field. Formal comment period is from Sept. 1 through Sept. 15, 2026.
